To the Residents and Taxpayers of Harris County MUD No. 304 (HC MUD 304) and Interested Members of the Public:
The Board of Directors of HC MUD 304 does not have a quorum of available Directors to attend tonight’s (Sept. 21, 2023) regularly scheduled monthly Board meeting, so the meeting is cancelled. However, the Board anticipates holding a special meeting next week (tentatively Sept. 27, 2023) in order to address some of the most pressing business/management affairs of the District (details to follow).
Meanwhile, several ‘town hall’ style meetings have been called to discuss District matters and, while ostensibly these meetings are being hosted by certain HC MUD 304 Board members, these are not authorized or sanctioned HC MUD 304 meetings. The proper protocols have not and are not being followed regarding these meetings, the corresponding (unauthorized) disclosure of District communications and records, and procedures related to rental of the District’s Administration Building have been disregarded.
Any information and opinions expressed at these ‘town hall’ style meetings are only those of the individuals who are stating them on the record and should not be considered ‘official’ information regarding HC MUD 304. Much of the information being reported at these meetings is incomplete, inaccurate, and in some cases false and defamatory.
Similarly, social media postings (Facebook, NextDoor, etc.) should not be considered official or authorized information about the District. The only meetings or information about HC MUD 304 which should be considered official are those where a formal District- sealed “Notice of Meeting” (agenda) have been properly posted or is posted on either the District’s official website (https://www.hcmud304.com) or through the emergency alert (text notification) system set up by the District.
