Due to the ongoing characteristic smell of sewage from the wastewater treatment facility, your HC MUD 304 Board of Directors approved a capital improvement project that will improve the odor control of the facility. This is a good-faith effort to appease the community while being good stewards of the Districtā€™s resources.
In the coming weeks, chemical treatment equipment for odor control will be installed to minimize the unpleasant odors. We have also started the process of re-seeding healthy microbiological life that was damaged from the high volume of stormwater into the wastewater plant facility. This is a normal process after such events and will also help with unpleasant odors.
